Notice of Cancellation and Refund Policy

 

STUDENT’S VOLUNTARY/ INVOLUNTARY WITHDRAWAL, CANCELLATION, AND SETTLEMENT POLICY

(REFUNDS)*All refund calculations are based on scheduled hours*

1. A student may voluntarily withdraw or cancel from the program by contacting the School Director.

 

Official Cancellation or Withdrawal shall occur on the earlier of the dates which:

2. If the student is not accepted by the Institution and denied entry to start classes, all monies paid by the student to the Institution shall be refunded in full.

 

3. If the student cancels the Enrollment Agreement within (3) business days after the agreement has been signed, the Institution shall give the Student a full refund of all monies paid.

 

4. If the student decides to cancel the Enrollment Agreement within (3) business days but prior to classes starting, he/she may do so by contacting the School Director and all monies paid will be refunded to the student minus the $100 application fee, which will be kept by the Institution.

 

5. If a student withdraws or terminates classes more than (3) business days after signing, but prior to entering class, refunds of tuition and other fees will be based upon the following terms and conditions (excluding the nonrefundable sum of $300.00 for the Application Fee of $100, Administration Fee of $200.00):

 

A. The effective date of the termination will be the last day of attendance by the student.

 

B. The Institution, upon termination in any form, shall charge the student a mandatory $100 Administrative Fee, and retain or be due a percentage of the tuition and other fees for the number of clock hours scheduled.  The Institute shall make a refund of the remaining tuition and fees, if any, as follows:

 

B-1. The refund due shall be calculated by dividing the total number of clock hours comprising the period of enrollment for which the student has been charged into the number of clock hours remaining to be completed by the student.  The refund shall be less any unpaid charges owed by the student for the period of enrollment for which the student has been charged.

 

B-2. If the student terminates, withdraws, or has been expelled after completing 50% or more of the program, the   Institution shall retain or be due 100% of the tuition and other fees and no refund shall be made to the student.

*Collection procedures will reflect good taste and sound, ethical business practices.

 

6.  A student is expelled by the school.

 

7. For official cancellations or withdrawals: the cancellation date will be determined by the postmark on written notification, or the date said information is delivered to the school in person

 

8. If a student on an approved leave of absence notifies the school that he or she will not be returning. The date of withdrawal determination shall be the earlier of the scheduled date of return from the leave of absence or the date the student notifies the institution that the student will not be returning

 

9. Unofficial withdrawals for clock hour students are determined by the school through monitoring clock hour attendance at least every thirty (30) days

 

10. If a program or course is canceled subsequent to a student’s enrollment, and/or before instruction in the program or course has begun, the school shall at its option: a. provide a full refund of all monies paid; b. provide completion of the program or course.

 

11. If a school cancels a course and/or program and ceases to offer instruction after students have enrolled and instruction has begun, the school shall at its option: a. Provide a pro rata refund for all students transferring to another school based on the hours accepted by the receiving school; or b. Provide completion of the course and/or program; or c. Provide a full refund of all monies paid.

 

12. If the school closes permanently and ceases to offer instruction after students have enrolled, and instruction has begun, the school must make arrangements for students. The school will provide a pro rata return of tuition.

 

13. When situations of mitigating circumstances occur, the school will consider making a refund adjustment that may exceed the minimum guidelines.

 

REFUNDS

Refunds, as determined, will be returned to the student within 45 days after the effective date of termination, expulsion, or withdrawal (officially/unofficially). Refunds are based on students last day of attendance (LDA). The last day of attendance will be used to calculate refunds.  There will be no refund of state license fees, tools, or textbooks, as these become the student’s personal property.
